Grow the Game Initiative Announces The Dallas Stars as Regional Partner
The Grow the Game Initiative has announced the Dallas Stars as a regional partner. Jeff Cogen, President of the Dallas Stars stated, “We put our full support behind the Grow the Game Initiative. Their efforts in increasing knowledge and participation in the game of hockey increases awareness of the Stars brand and helps bring hockey to families that might otherwise not be exposed to the game. We look forward to watching their efforts build momentum as kids and adults alike benefit from involvement in hockey programs.”
One key aspect of the partnership will be the branding of the region’s Grow the Game program to Dallas Stars Care at: DallasStarsCare.com. The Stars’ support of the region’s Grow the Game Initiative includes providing ticket specials to hockey families in region as well as providing new hockey players the opportunity to be exposed to the game of hockey. As part of the Stars’ support they will be promoting the Grow the Game Initiative at events and at Dallas Stars games.
“We are so excited to continue our partnership with the Stars in this effort. Their support of the program is invaluable in the efforts to increase awareness and involvement in hockey programs. The Dallas Stars are continuing to be the leaders in their commitment to Grow the Game of hockey in the region and provide families valuable resources” TK Stohlman, President of the Youth Sports Coalition stated.
Future plans of the Dallas Stars and Grow the Game partnership include working together to develop Grow the Game manuals and resource booklets for parents, players, and volunteers across Texas.
