Team USA Helps Grow the Game

one_goal_logo_postThe team USA Men’s Olympic Hockey Team is helping grow the game of hockey in a positive way. The following article details their recent charitable efforts to help keep the love of hockey growing.

Each of the 34 players attending the U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Orientation Camp in Woodridge, Ill., recently donated 15 sets of OneGoal starter equipment to the youth hockey organization of their choice. The equipment was purchased by the National Hockey League Players’ Association, through its Goals & Dreams Fund, in cooperation with USA Hockey and OneGoal.

Here are some of the local associations in which players chose to donate their equipment:

Chris Drury – Wonderland Wizards; Orange, Conn.
Kyle Okposo and Zach Parise – Highland Central Association; St. Paul, MN.
Joe Pavelski – Portage County Youth on Ice; Stevens Point, WI
Erik Johnson – Bloomington Athletic Hockey Association; Bloomington, MN.
Jack Johnson – Ann Arbor Amateur Hockey Association; Ann Arbor, MI
Rob Scuderi – Freeport Arrows Organization, Bellmore, NY
Ryan Whitney – South Boston Youth Hockey; South Boston, MA
